Omega 3

US scientists reveal that fish oil may protect against the negative effects of stress on the heart, thanks to omega 3 fatty acids.

“Nowadays, stress has become a normal part of everyday life, said study leader Professor. Jason Carter and added that with all that we have bad eating habits and that our bodies are put under even greater stress.”

The research, published in the American Journal of Physiology, was attended by 67 persons with normal levels of blood pressure. Participants in the period of 8 weeks, every day taking 9 grams of fish oil supplements.

At the end of the research scientists are doing different tests, including measurement of blood pressure levels and heart rate.

The test results showed that the supplements reduce the level of cortisol in the body, regulate heart rate level and reduce the level of free radicals. Scientists have not noticed any effect on blood pressure.

These results suggest that fish oil has an excellent effect on health and reduces the adverse effects of stress on the body.

Previous research has shown that stress increases the risk of chronic inflammation in the body, which is one of the leading causes of various diseases, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease and circulatory system conditions.
